The Plains Town, Fauquier County, Virginia is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 266. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 286, giving it the 33rd smallest population among Virginia. The town encompasses an area of 0.26 square miles (0.67 kmē), makes it the 20th smallest by total area in Virginia.
