Texarkana City is a city located in Bowie County, Texas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 34782 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 36611, It is the 71st most populous in the U.S. state of Texas. The city has a total area of 25.73 sq mi (66.64 square kilometre), of which, 25.63 square miles (66.38 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 87th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 34782 people in the city, organized into 13569 households, and 8947 families living in the city.
