Teton County is a county in the United States of Idaho. The population of county in 2000 stood at 5999 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 8833, It is the 30th most populous county in the U.S. state of Idaho. It is spread over 450.57 miē (1166.97 kmē), of which, 450.36 square miles (1166.43 kmē ) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 kmē) of it is water, giving it the second smallest by total area among Idaho's county.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 5999 people, 2078 households, and 1465 families residing in the county. The population density was 13.3 people per square mile (5.14/kmē), making it the 19th most densely populated county in Idaho. There were 2632 housing units at an average density of 5.8 per square mile (2.24/kmē). The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.43. In the county Population was distributed with 31.8% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 33.8% from 25 to 44, 18.9% from 45 to 64, and 7.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 112.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.5 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 8833, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 8655 White, 36 Black or African American, 49 American Indian, 20 Asian, 20 Native Hawaiian, and 53 from two or more races.
