Temple City is a city in the Bell County, Texas, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 54514 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 59654, making it the 45th most populous in Texas. The city encompasses an area of 65.44 square miles (169.49 sq km ), of which, 65.35 square miles (169.26 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 27th largest by total area in Texas.
