Temecula City is one of the city of Riverside County, California, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 57716. The July 2008 population estimate is 97100, making it the 126th most populous in California. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 26.28 sq mi (68.06 square kilometre), of which, 26.26 square miles (68.01 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 107th largest by total area among California.
