Tecumseh City is a one of the Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 6098 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 6667, giving it the 58th largest population among Oklahoma. The city comprises an area of 15.27 square miles (39.55 kmē), of which, 15.04 square miles (38.95 kmē) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 kmē) of it is water, it is the 65th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6098 people, 2344 households, and 1655 families residing in the city. The population density was 405.5 people per square mile (156.56/kmē), it is 421st most densely populated city in Oklahoma.
