Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2215, It is the 109th largest by population in the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.42 mi˛ (3.68 sq km), of which, 1.39 square miles (3.6 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 216th largest by total area in Mississippi.
