Tazewell County is a county in the United States of Illinois. The population of the county was 128485 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 131524, It is the 15th largest in terms of population. The county has a total area of 657.89 sq mi (1703.93 kmē), of which, 648.86 square miles (1680.54 kmē) of it is land and 9.03 square miles (23.39 kmē) of it is water, it is the 30th largest in terms of geographical size.
