Taylor Town is one of the town of Houston and Geneva counties, Alabama, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Taylor Town is home to 1898 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1993, making it the 197th most populous in Alabama. The town comprises an area of 7.18 square miles (18.6 square kilometre), of which, 7.1 square miles (18.39 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 189th largest in terms of geographical size.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 93.05% White, 3.79% Black or African American, 0.79% American Indian, 0.26% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.37% from two or more races and 0.74% Other races.
