Taylor County is a county in the United States of Wisconsin. In 2000, the population was 19680. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 19308, It is Wisconsin's 19th least populous county. It has total area of 984.49 square miles (2549.82 kmē), of which, 974.86 square miles (2524.88 kmē) of it is land and 9.63 square miles (24.94 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 23rd largest by total area in Wisconsin.

For every 100 males there were 97.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 99.6 females. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 19308, The racial makeup of the county was 98.6% White, 0.18% Black or African American, 0.25% American Indian, 0.27% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.69% from two or more races.
