Tallassee City is a United States city located in the Elmore and Tallapoosa counties, Alabama, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 4934 as per the Census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 5172, making it the 107th most populous in Alabama. It is spread over 10.17 square miles (26.34 kmē), of which, 9.63 square miles (24.94 kmē ) of it is land and 0.53 square miles (1.37 kmē) of it is water, it is the 129th largest in terms of geographical size.
