Talladega County is a county in the United States of Alabama. The population of county in 2000 stood at 80321 as per the Census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 80279, making it Alabama's 16th largest county. The county extends throughout a territory of 760.25 miē (1969.04 kmē ), of which, 739.53 square miles (1915.37 kmē) of it is land and 20.72 square miles (53.66 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 26th largest by total area among Alabama's county.

For every 100 males there were 104.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.9 females. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 80279, The racial makeup of the county was 66.84% White, 31.75% Black or African American, 0.25% American Indian, 0.33% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 0.8% from two or more races.
