Sylvania Town, DeKalb County, Alabama is a town located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1186. Its population was estimated at 1267 in July 2008, It is Alabama's 261st largest by population . It has total area of 7.44 square miles (19.27 kmē), of which, 7.33 square miles (18.98 kmē) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 kmē) of it is water, it is the 180th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.
