Sylvan Lake City is a city in the Oakland County, Michigan, United States. It is home to over 1735 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1639, giving it the 346th largest population among Michigan. The city extends throughout a territory of 0.81 miē (2.1 kmē ), of which, 0.52 square miles (1.35 kmē) of it is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 kmē) of it is water, it is the 66th smallest in terms of geographical size.
