Sylacauga City is a city located in the Talladega County, Alabama, United States. The city has a population of 12616 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 12843, It is Alabama's 45th largest by population . The city comprises an area of 18.63 sq mi (48.25 sq km), of which, 18.53 square miles (47.99 sq km) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 sq km) of it is water, making it the 56th largest by size in Alabama.
