Sutherlin City is one of the city of Douglas County, Oregon, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 6669 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 7108 in July 2008, giving it the 71st largest population among Oregon. Its area is just over 5.29 mi˛ (13.7 square kilometre), of which, 5.2 square miles (13.47 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 53rd largest by total area in Oregon.
