Sussex Borough is a borough located in the Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. The population of the borough was 2145 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2124, It is the 100th smallest in terms of population. The borough has a total area of 0.62 mi˛ (1.61 sq km), of which, 0.6 square miles (1.55 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 32nd smallest by total area in New Jersey.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 96.32% White, 1.12% Black or African American, 0.09% American Indian, 1.21% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.89% from two or more races and 0.37% Other races.
