Superior City is a city located in the Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 27368 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 26223 in July 2008, making it the 26th most populous in Wisconsin. It is spread over 55.43 mi˛ (143.56 square kilometre), of which, 36.94 square miles (95.67 square kilometre ) of it is land and 18.49 square miles (47.89 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the third largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Wisconsin.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 27368 residents, 76 households, and 48 families in the city. The population density was 740.9 people per square mile (286.06/km˛), making it the 344th most densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 12196 housing units at an average density of 330.2 per square mile (127.49/km˛). The average household size was 2.26 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons. In the city Age distribution was 22.7% under the age of 18, 12.9% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 15% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 108.3 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 112.6 females. The median age was 35.9 years, the median age of male residents at 34.1 and the median age of female residents at 37.6. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 25797 White, 186 Black or African American, 611 American Indian, 230 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, 462 from two or more races and 72 Ohter races.
