Sullivan County, Pennsylvania is a county of the United States of Pennsylvania. As of 2000 the population was 6556. The July 2008 population estimate is 6124, It is second least populous county in Pennsylvania. It has total area of 452.35 square miles (1171.58 square kilometre), of which, 449.94 square miles (1165.34 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.41 square miles (6.24 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 18th smallest county by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6556 people in the county, organized into 2660 households, and 1754 families living in the county. The population density was 14.6 people per square mile (5.64/kmē), it is second least densely populated county in Pennsylvania. There were 6017 housing units at an average density of 13.4 per square mile (5.17/kmē). The average household size was 2.3 people, and the average family size was 2.81 people. Age range in the county was well distributed with 20.8% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 21.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.4 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 6124, The racial makeup of the county was 5829 White, 187 Black or African American, 53 American Indian, 10 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 45 from two or more races.
