Sugar Land City is a city located in Fort Bend County, Texas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 63328 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 80704, It is Texas's 37th largest by population . The city spans an area of 24.92 square miles (64.54 square kilometre), of which, 24.09 square miles (62.39 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.83 square miles (2.15 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Texas's 90th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 63328 people, 20515 households, and 17524 families residing in the city. The population density was 2629.1 people per square mile (1015.1/kmē), it would be the 96th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Texas.
