Sugar Creek City is a city in the Jackson and Clay counties, Missouri, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Sugar Creek City is home to 3839 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 3533, giving it the 167th largest population among Missouri. The city extends throughout a territory of 8.94 sq mi (23.15 square kilometre ), of which, 8.26 square miles (21.39 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.68 square miles (1.76 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 64th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in Missouri.
