Stroud City is a city located in the Lincoln and Creek counties, Oklahoma, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2758. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2726, It is 115th most populous in Oklahoma. The city comprises an area of 12.48 square miles (32.32 sq km), of which, 11.5 square miles (29.78 sq km) of it is land and 0.99 square miles (2.56 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 88th largest by total area among Oklahoma. It is ranks 20 in the size of its inland waterways in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2758 residents, 1139 households, and 731 families in the city. The population density was 239.9 people per square mile (92.63/kmē), it is the 207th least populated city in terms of population density. There were 1325 housing units at an average density of 115.2 per square mile (44.48/kmē). The average household size was 2.36 persons, and the average family size was 3 persons. Age range in the city was well distributed with 25.5% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 24.9% from 25 to 44, 22% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 or older.
