Stratford Town is a town located in Garvin County, Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the town was 1474 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 1490, It is the 173rd most populous in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The town encompasses an area of 1.03 mi˛ (2.67 square kilometre), making it the 367th largest by size in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1474 people, 612 households, and 386 families residing in the town. The population density was 1434.7 people per square mile (553.94/km˛), it would be the 68th most densely populated town in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 714 housing units at an average density of 693.2 per square mile (267.65/km˛). The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 3.02. In the town the population was distributed as follows: 26.9% under the age of 18, 10% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 19.5% from 45 to 64, and 18.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 84.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 78.5 males. The median age was 36.8 years, the median age of male residents at 30.8 and the median age of female residents at 40.3. The racial makeup of the town was 1185 White, 11 Black or African American, 225 American Indian, Asian, Native Hawaiian, 44 from two or more races and 9 Ohter races.
