Story City City is a city located in Story County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 3228 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3389, making it Iowa's 107th largest. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.42 sq mi (6.27 sq km), it is the 152nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
