Stockbridge City is one of the city of Henry County, Georgia, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 9853. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 14360, It is the 84th most populous in the U.S. state of Georgia. The city extends throughout a territory of 11 sq mi (28.49 sq km ), of which, 10.95 square miles (28.36 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 72nd largest by total area among Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9853 residents, 3749 households, and 2656 families in the city. The population density was 900 people per square mile (347.49/kmē), it is 163rd most densely populated city in Georgia.
