Steuben County is a county located in New York, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 98726 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 96573, It is 30th most populous county in New York. It covers total area of 1404.1 sq mi (3636.6 sq km), of which, 1392.64 square miles (3606.92 sq km) of it is land and 11.45 square miles (29.66 sq km) of it is water, makes it the tenth largest by total area in New York.
