Sterling Heights City is a United States city located in the Macomb County, Michigan, United States. Sterling Heights City had an official population of 124471 in 2000. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 127160, It is the fifth largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city comprises an area of 36.69 mi˛ (95.03 sq km), of which, 36.64 square miles (94.9 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, making it the fifth largest by size in Michigan.
