Stephens County is one of the 77 county of Oklahoma, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 43182 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 43498, It is the 21st largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 891.12 mi˛ (2307.99 square kilometre), of which, 874.04 square miles (2263.75 square kilometre) of it is land and 17.08 square miles (44.24 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 33rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.
