Steeleville Village is a city located in Randolph County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 2077 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2014, It is the 491st largest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 1.31 mi˛ (3.39 sq km ), of which, 1.3 square miles (3.37 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 589th largest in terms of geographical size.
