Stayton City is a city located in the Marion County, Oregon, United States. In 2000, city's population was 6816 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 7319, It is the 69th largest by population in the U.S. state of Oregon. The city encompasses an area of 2.73 mi˛ (7.07 sq km ), of which, 2.7 square miles (6.99 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, making it Oregon's 96th largest by total area.
