Starke County is a United States county located in the United States of Indiana. As of 2000 the population was 23556. Its population was estimated at 23658 in July 2008, It is Indiana's 28th least populous county. The county encompasses an area of 312.31 square miles (808.88 sq km ), of which, 309.31 square miles (801.11 sq km) of it is land and 3 square miles (7.77 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 15th smallest by total area among Indiana's county.
