Stark County, North Dakota is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 22636 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 22575, making it the sixth most populous county in North Dakota. The county encompasses an area of 1340.46 sq mi (3471.78 kmē ), of which, 1338.16 square miles (3465.82 kmē) of it is land and 2.3 square miles (5.96 kmē) of it is water, making it the 21st largest by size in North Dakota.

The July 2008 population estimate is 22575, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.06% White, 0.48% Black or African American, 1.24% American Indian, 0.32% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 0.86% from two or more races.
