Star City Town is a town in the Monongalia County, West Virginia, United States. The population of the town was 1366 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1654, It is West Virginia's 118th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.57 mi˛ (1.48 square kilometre), of which, 0.49 square miles (1.27 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 87th smallest by total area among West Virginia.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1366 people, 697 households, and 334 families living in the town. The population density was 2785.4 people per square mile (1075.45/km˛), it is West Virginia's 19th most densely populated town. There were 753 housing units at an average density of 1536.7 per square mile (593.32/km˛). The average household size was 1.96 and the average family size was 2.71. In the town the population is diverse age-wise, with 15% under the age of 18, 17.1% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 or older. The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 93.56% White, 2.64% Black or African American, 0% American Indian, 2.34% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, 1.02% from two or more races and 0.37% Other races.
