Stafford County is a county in the United States of Kansas. The population of county in 2000 stood at 4789 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 4326, making it Kansas's 33rd smallest county. It has total area of 794.72 square miles (2058.32 square kilometre), of which, 792.05 square miles (2051.4 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.67 square miles (6.92 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Kansas's 47th largest county by total area.

For every 100 females there were 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.4 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4326, The racial makeup of the county was 97.8% White, 0.18% Black or African American, 0.42% American Indian, 0.18% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 1.41% from two or more races.
