St. Matthews Town is a town located in Calhoun County, South Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2107. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1948, giving it the 171st largest population among South Carolina. Its area is just over 1.94 square miles (5.02 sq km), of which, 1.93 square miles (5 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 237th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
