St. Lawrence County is a United States county located in the United States of New York. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 111931 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 109701, It is the 26th largest county by population in the U.S. state of New York. The county has a total area of 2821.48 mi˛ (7307.6 sq km), of which, 2685.6 square miles (6955.67 sq km) of it is land and 135.88 square miles (351.93 sq km) of it is water, it is the largest by area in the U.S. state of New York.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 111931 people, 40506 households, and 26939 families residing in the county. The population density was 41.7 people per square mile (16.1/km˛), it would be the sixth least densely populated county in the U.S. state of New York. There were 49721 housing units at an average density of 18.5 per square mile (7.14/km˛). The average household size was 2.49 people, and the average family size was 2.99 people. Age range in the county was well distributed with 23.4% under the age of 18, 13.8% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 13% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.1 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 109701, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 103883 White, 2675 Black or African American, 1156 American Indian, 979 Asian, 37 Native Hawaiian, and 971 from two or more races.
