St. Joseph County is a United States county located in the United States of Michigan. In 2000, the population was 62422. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 62232, It is the 32nd largest county by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. The county spans an area of 521.15 sq mi (1349.77 square kilometre), of which, 503.72 square miles (1304.63 square kilometre) of it is land and 17.43 square miles (45.14 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the fourth smallest by total area in Michigan.
