St. Helena City is a one of the Napa County, California, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5950 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 5817, It is the 559th largest by population in the U.S. state of California. It has total area of 4.74 mi˛ (12.28 sq km), of which, 4.71 square miles (12.2 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 558th largest by total area among California.

The racial makeup of the city was 4900 White, 26 Black or African American, 27 American Indian, 42 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, 159 from two or more races and 786 Ohter races.
