St. Croix County is a one of the county from Wisconsin's 72 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the St. Croix County is home to 63155 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 82487, making it Wisconsin's 19th largest county. The county encompasses an area of 735.81 miē (1905.74 kmē ), of which, 721.82 square miles (1869.51 kmē) of it is land and 13.98 square miles (36.21 kmē) of it is water, it is the 48th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

The population density was 87.5 people per square mile (33.78/kmē), making its Wisconsin's 22nd most densely populated county. There were 24265 housing units at an average density of 33.6 per square mile (12.97/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.66 persons, and the average family size was 3.12 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.9% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 32.2% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 9.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.5 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 82487, The racial makeup of the county was 79935 White, 523 Black or African American, 262 American Indian, 1077 Asian, 18 Native Hawaiian, and 672 from two or more races.
