St. Charles City is a city located in Madison County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. St. Charles City had an official population of 619 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 672, making it Iowa's 415th largest. The city spans an area of 0.56 mi˛ (1.45 square kilometre), it is the 597th largest in terms of geographical size.
