St. Charles City is a city located in the Kane and DuPage counties, Illinois, United States. In 2000, the population was 27896. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 32829, making it the 71st most populous in Illinois. It is spread over 14.15 sq mi (36.65 sq km), of which, 13.99 square miles (36.23 sq km ) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 38th largest by total area among Illinois.
