It is South Carolina's 17th largest by population . The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 6.89 mi˛ (17.85 sq km ), of which, 6.89 square miles (17.85 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 79th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
