Springfield City is one of the city of Bon Homme County, South Dakota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 792 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1487, making it the 90th most populous in South Dakota. The city encompasses an area of 0.65 square miles (1.68 square kilometre), it is the 172nd largest by area in the U.S. state of South Dakota.
