Springfield City is one of the city of Hampden County, Massachusetts, located towards the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. The city has a population of 152082 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 150640 in July 2008, It is third most populous in Massachusetts. The city spans an area of 33.2 sq mi (85.99 square kilometre), of which, 32.1 square miles (83.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.85 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 11th largest by total area among Massachusetts.
