Spring Lake Heights Borough is a borough located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 5227 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 5134, It is the 276th largest by population in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The borough encompasses an area of 1.34 square miles (3.47 sq km ), of which, 1.32 square miles (3.42 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 136th smallest by total area among New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5227 people in the borough, organized into 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 3947.7 people per square mile (1524.22/kmē), making it the 161st most densely populated borough in New Jersey. There were 2950 housing units at an average density of 2234.8 per square mile (862.86/kmē). The average household size was 2.04 and the average family size was 2.82. In the Spring Lake Heights Borough, 16.8% of the population was under the age of 18, 4.4% were 18 to 24, 23.7% were 25 to 44, 25.4% were 45 to 64, and 29.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 81.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 76.6 males. The median age is 48.3 years, the median age of male residents at 44.7 and the median age of female residents at 51.6. The racial makeup of the borough was 97.28% White, 1.11% Black or African American, 0.02% American Indian, 0.36% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 0.54% from two or more races and 0.67% Other races.
