Spring City Borough is a borough located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of the borough was 3305 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the borough is 3375, It is the 421st largest in terms of population. The borough has a total area of 0.82 mi˛ (2.12 sq km), of which, 0.76 square miles (1.97 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 838th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3305 people, 1412 households, and 836 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4321.9 people per square mile (1668.69/km˛), making its Pennsylvania's 205th most densely populated borough. There were 1508 housing units at an average density of 1984.2 per square mile (766.1/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.33 persons, and the average family size was 3.03 persons. In the borough the population was spread out, with 23.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 34.9% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 97.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 98 females. The median age of the borough's population was 36.3 years, the median age of male residents at 35.7 and the median age of female residents at 36.9. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 95.25% White, 1.94% Black or African American, 0.51% American Indian, 1.03% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, 0.94% from two or more races and 0.27% Other races.
