Spink County, South Dakota is a county of the United States of South Dakota. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 7454 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 6664, It is the 27th most populous county in the U.S. state of South Dakota. Its area is just over 1510.05 square miles (3911.01 square kilometre), of which, 1503.87 square miles (3895.01 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.18 square miles (16.01 square kilometre) of it is water, making it South Dakota's 18th largest county by total area.
