Speers Borough is a one of the Washington County, Pennsylvania, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 1241 as per the Census data. Its population was estimated at 1165 in July 2008, It is the 796th most populous in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is spread over 1.09 sq mi (2.82 kmē), of which, 0.97 square miles (2.51 kmē ) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 kmē) of it is water, it is the 684th largest in terms of geographical size.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1241 people, 538 households, and 382 families living in the borough. The population density was 1285 people per square mile (496.14/kmē), it is Pennsylvania's 855th most densely populated borough. There were 561 housing units at an average density of 578.4 per square mile (223.32/kmē). The average household size was 2.31 persons, and the average family size was 2.8 persons. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 17.7% under the age of 18, 6% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 27.4% from 45 to 64, and 26.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.1 males. The median age was 47.1 years, the median age of male residents at 46.1 and the median age of female residents at 48.4. The racial makeup of the borough was 97.66% White, 0.73% Black or African American, 0% American Indian, 1.29% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.32% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
