Spearfish City is a city located in Lawrence County, South Dakota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 8606 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 10010, It is 11th most populous in South Dakota. It has total area of 6.11 mi˛ (15.82 sq km), making it South Dakota's 22nd largest by total area.
