Sparta City is one of the city of White County, Tennessee, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 4599 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4938, giving it the 103rd largest population among Tennessee. Its area is just over 6.34 sq mi (16.42 sq km), it is the 143rd largest in terms of geographical size.
